Just watched John Carpenter's The Thing for the first time in a while. Thoughts? Still just as scary and the effects are still amazing 30 years on. Why do we need CGI when old-skool effects are this good? Kurt Russell in his prime (Big Trouble in Little China rocks, that is official) and the picture on blu ray looks terrific. If you are into horror films (or movies in general) I have a weird taste, more about that to follow.The Voice is on shortly, right after Come Dine With Me. I really must get out more...
